Alex most recently served as Chief Growth and Strategy Officer for Impact Public Schools, where he oversaw talent, human resources, communications, and partnered with the Co-CEO on development goals. When leading strategic planning, Alex loves to guide teams to find opportunities in constraints. Under Alex’s leadership, Impact Public Schools expanded its staff during a national teacher shortage, implemented proactive communications campaigns with ongoing earned media, and developed competency-based promotion pathways to retain and “level up” key internal talent. Alex created all coaching and performance management tools for the central office and facilitated management workshops for senior leaders. During Alex’s tenure, the central office consistently saw over 90% year to year retention while supporting Impact campuses to achieve some of the best results in the region.

Prior to his work at Impact Public Schools, Alex gained a track record of achieving mission-driven outcomes. As a central office leader with Summit Public Schools, Washington, Alex led Summit’s regional college programming efforts; 100% of seniors in Summit’s founding classes in Seattle and Tacoma gained admission to college. Alex also designed Summit’s regional push to improve state assessment outcomes, and his efforts led to significant growth in student achievement across Summit’s campuses.

In his spare time, Alex loves to make music, explore the great PNW outdoors, and of course hang with his wife, son, and puppy.
